We believe in simple ideas, strong relationships, and lasting impact.
Established in 2019, this is our flagship program offering youth sailing camps June-August, adult sailing courses, sailboat rentals, Annual Sunfish Regattas, sailing team opportunities, and collaboration with local programs to provide sailing to camps and groups throughout the summer season.
Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club
In 2025, collaboration began to facilitate the sailing programs with the Yacht Club in Melfa to offer youth sailing camps on Opti and Lasers on Pungoteague Creek. While you may not see us out at the club each year, we continue this partnership through special events and sailing referrals.
In 2023, our collaboration with the local Cape Charles Baptist Church allowed us to be able to offer FREE sailing to the kids of their summer day camp. We have worked with KCoast surf shop Cape Charles location who provided free swim shoes to these campers. This partnership continues each year through the generous donations of the Baptist Church.
YMCA Camp Silver Beach & Camp Occohannock on the Bay
In 2026, we began working with local summer camps to help with their sailing programs. ew partnership with the YMCA providing training for their upcoming Summer Sailing instructors at the local Silver Beach location. Our collaboration involves sailing preparation work, sharing access to sailboats, hosting regattas, and providing training for their upcoming Summer Sailing instructor
Our goal is to offer more opportunities on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Tall Ship Sailing
The Chesapeake Bay is home to many traditional sailing vessels and the Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race, in which traditional sailing schooners race from Annapolis to Norfolk every year in early October.
We have been lucky to host many of these ships in Cape Charles and provide opportunities such as tall ship camps, education sails, and dockside parties.
Schooner Virginia host numerous education sails and dockside events with our camp programs.
Schooner Windsong has hosted staff sails, week long tall-ship education camps, and regatta viewing.
